![]() Jamal Edwards“I joined SSGC in order to experience growing food on a larger scale and to also put my ideas about sustainable agriculture into practice. SSGC has given me the opportunity to experience the business aspect of agriculture as well the logistical aspect of working on a farm. I will, in the near future, be supplying zucchini and leeks to the dining services at SSU.” | ![]() Claudia Sisomphou“I wanted to be a part of the SSGC because I love everything about gardening; your relationship to nature and the gift of food that it gives back to you. I was lucky to have stumbled upon this group and I'm so happy to be surrounded by awesome people who appreciate the land and environment as much as I do. I started my garden last semester so I just tilled in my cover crop.” | ![]() Tomio Endo“Serving as co-director of Sonoma Student Growers Cooperative through the lens of an anthropologist, I have been pursuing my dream of making the culture of growing and sharing food a key principle in the SSU experience. Influenced by a simple, yet reliable method of regional sustainable farming, we are working to bring a pragmatic and creative experience in sustainable entrepreneurship to both university and high school students. Our work lies in bringing the university, students, and community |

![]() Shara Vilagi“I got involved with SSGC at the beginning of my freshman year. I've had experience in the past with farming and thought, "why not continue". What also caught my attention were the people who were involved. In the future I intend to be an active part of running the co-op. Until then I'm learning all the logistics.” |
